Dr Makis talks about the money-driven model of cancer care and the buy-up of cancer drug development companies underway now, from Big Pharma. The guidelines oncologists are allowed to use/offer, the treatments people receive, involve ensuring profits to the pharmaceutical industry. Patients are not given options. Institutions such as the American Cancer Society are all funded by the pharmaceutical industry, who write the protocols. Yet it is clear that there are cheap, safe and effective options for cancer care which can cure and stabilise the condition of people living with cancer.

Dr Makis never fails to inform and motivate! He sits on a precipice between imprisonment in Alberta by a "health establishment mafia" and possibly working for the new USA administration to help turn these crimes around.
