North Korea is ready to give Russia more "cannon fodder", but so far the Koreans are of no use

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is ready to supply the Russian army with more cannon fodder, but so far the North Koreans have not proven their effectiveness at the front. This was reported on Radio NV by former deputy platoon commander of the Aidar battalion OF uKRAİNE, military analyst Yevgeny Diky.

Dikiy agrees with the assertion that Russia brought in North Korean troops because of "Putin's desperation."

"This is out of desperation, because by the end of 2024, a new phenomenon has emerged in Russia that did not exist before. They have practically stopped replenishing the army," said Diky. In particular, according to him, if in Ukraine there has been a problem with replenishment for two years, because mobilization measures have not been taken, then in Russia there have been no problems with this during these two years.

"They first created a crisis response. In the fall of 2022, they carried out a forced mobilization of almost half a million people and then, thus, saved their army, their front. They poured these 450 thousand into the "Surovikin line" and so they held out. Then theypumped out everything possible from the GULAG. And this resource was enough for them for quite a long time, in fact. The GULAG ended and for the first time in the history of Russia, zones are actually closing, because there is no one to sit," said Diky.

He said that the Russians had an effective system of "buying heads," namely recruiting those who were willing to fight for money.

"The Russians had an effective recruitment system for money for two years, and they relaxed. They decided that it would continue like this. They decided that the only issue was the amount of money. Mercenaries stop coming - that means they need to increase payments, they will come again. They missed the fact that not only the cost of living was gradually changing, but their geography was changing. First, they completely scooped out the depressed regions of ethnic minorities. For a very long time, they did not touch the megacities - Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg, Moscow. This year they have already started to take them. Payments were increased tenfold. And this not only led to a tenfold increase in recruitment, but did not even allow them to maintain the recruitment that was there. It simply failed by the end of the year," Dikiy emphasized.
According to the expert, the option of attracting soldiers from North Korea arose.

"And I suspect that those Koreans who are fighting now are tests. Depending on whether they show at least some minimal effectiveness in the war, they will or will not buy much larger batches from Comrade Un, because Kim is potentially ready to supply much more, but so far it looks like it is not justifying itself," said Dikiy.
