STUNNING Blow From Lebanon Leaves Israel Flailing!

Right, so we’ve now passed the half way point of the sham ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, Israel and Hezbollah and of course where Israel are supposed to be leaving Lebanese territory, it has looked for some time like they have no plans to do so quickly, they need only leave by day 60, the day the ceasefire ends, for them to basically reinvade Lebanese territory the very next day. It seems even that is something Israel feel under no obligation to do.
No the narrative now, is that despite agreeing to this ceasefire, Israel’s word is precisely as worthless as so many people knew it would be, the narrative now being one of, we might not bother to leave now, after all, we’ve taken no notice of the ceasefire agreement up until now, we’ve continued to attack Lebanese settlements, continued to press forwards, continued to gain ground, why would we give that up?
On the flipside, Lebanon and Hezbollah, aside from the occasional warning shots to adhere to the ceasefire, they have not raised arms again against Israel, but with that having fallen on deaf ears, they’ve tried something else now and that appears to have been a lot more effective.
Right, so the Christmas period has seen further Israeli incursions by Israel into Lebanon, talk of a ceasefire, well what ceasefire? Seems to be the prevailing attitude. I took a look for the most up to date number of violations of the ceasefire by Israel this morning and it seems that by December 22nd, 816 violations of the ceasefire had been recorded and that’s the most recent count and it’s almost certainly well out of date now. Also by December 22nd 45 Lebanese people had been killed since that ceasefire began. Israel have never taken the blindest bit of notice of it, have just kept on moving in on more and more Lebanese territory whilst Lebanese forces and Hezbollah meet the terms of the ceasefire, yet even now, all we hear about is Israel’s right to defend itself. Nobody else appears to have that right.
During that same time period that those 45 people lost their lives, Israel has continued to raid border towns, where 17 people have been arrested by them – bearing in mind, they are supposed to be leaving Lebanese territory – all of whom were reported to have been civilians working with livestock and working in agriculture.
Other violations reported during this time period include further airstrikes, drone attacks, intelligence flights over Lebanese territory, machine gun fire, artillery shelling, incursions into other settlements and villages, the bulldozing of roads and agricultural fields, putting barriers up to limit Lebanese movements, booby-trapping houses and the torching and razing of vehicles. According to the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 816 violations of the ceasefire agreement had occurred, via land and air attacks. It is insane that nothing is getting done about it, but when pro Israel nations like the US and France are supposedly overseeing the ceasefire, it’s little wonder their own biases are seemingly underlining their ignorance and incompetence and the blind eye they appear to be casting.
The UN peacekeeping agency UNIFIL is still somehow managing to continue in it’s duties on the ground in Southern Lebanon and following a visit to that area by Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Miqati on the 23rd of December, they issued a statement, polite as ever, but very much nailing on the fact Israel and the IDF are not playing ball as they are supposed to be, saying:
‘Any actions that risk the fragile cessation of hostilities must cease.
Israel and Lebanon have recommitted to full implementation of Security Council resolution 1701. To address outstanding issues, both parties are urged to utilize the newly-established Mechanism as agreed in the understanding.
UNIFIL continues to urge the timely withdrawal of the Israel Defense Forces and deployment of the Lebanese Armed Forces in southern Lebanon and the full implementation of resolution 1701 as a comprehensive path toward peace.
UNIFIL is working closely with the Lebanese Armed Forces as they accelerate recruitment efforts and redeploy troops to the south.
The mission stands ready to play its role in supporting both countries meet their obligations and monitoring progress. This includes ensuring the area south of the Litani River is free of any armed personnel, assets or weapons other than those of the Government of Lebanon and UNIFIL as well as respect for the Blue Line.
There is concern at continuing destruction by the IDF in residential areas, agricultural land, and road networks in south Lebanon. This is in violation of resolution 1701.
Peacekeepers will continue their mandated tasks, including the monitoring and reporting to the Security Council of all violations of resolution 1701.’
Well, Israel have stated in no uncertain terms now, that they aren’t planning on going anywhere, because last Thursday, Israeli newspaper Haaretz published a report that stated that the IDF are planning on keeping their forces in Lebanon through the 60 day ceasefire period and beyond, in other words they never had the blindest intention of leaving to begin with, they said what they did to get Hezbollah and Lebanon to down tools and once they did so, they have carried on with impunity, nobody holding them to account to stop.
Israel were getting pasted in Lebanon prior to the ceasefire, they were losing significant troops and equipment, notably Hezbollah had cracked exactly how to take out their Merkava tanks and in 2 months, Israel had lost almost 60 of them. By agreeing to a ceasefire they’d appeared to have been forced into, yet haven’t actually followed at all, they now have no retaliation against further advancement and they’ve become emboldened by that, taking more territory, gaining better positions.
Why in which case has Lebanon and Hezbollah not retaliated more meaningfully before now then? Frankly the media in my view. Where the mainstream media is omitting to cover Israeli atrocity in Lebanon going forwards, they’d be all over it if Hezbollah started fighting again and Israel would play that victim card faster than you could blink.
Israel have also begun an incursion from another direction as well, having seized territory on the Syrian Lebanese border, as this channel had covered previously, I’d suspected given the difficulties Israel had faced due to the terrain as well as attacks in Southern Lebanon, by taking high ground in the Anti-Lebanon mountains – that really is the name of the mountain range forming much of the Syrian Lebanon border – that Israel would come down from the mountain and try to enter Lebanon from another direction and one such route, the Janta Crossing, where much smuggling of arms to Hezbollah reputedly travels through from Syria has been struck by the IDF. Where the IDF justifies this act as being a measure to end that smuggling, despite their proxies in HTS now running Syria’s government, it also gives them an in to Lebanon now from the east not just the south.
So in light of all of this, what has Lebanon done to leave Israel flailing? Well they’ve taken a leaf out of Israel’s book as it happens.
You see, with so many instances of the IDF being caught bang to rights for their violations of the ceasefire agreement, and despite Lebanon and Hezbollah by and large keeping their word, whilst Israel breaks theirs getting on for a thousand times over, an incident on December 26th saw the IDF go into full retreat withdrawing from the Southern Lebanese valley of Wadi-al-Hujyar in what has been called a huge embarrassment for Israel in front of their Western backers and allies and there was no escaping it either, whether the mainstream press would cover the incident or not – surprise, surprise, the answer to that is no – but they went into full retreat after Lebanon approached not the overseers of the ceasefire agreement, the US and France, but the five nation group on Lebanon, of which the US and France are a part, but by going down this route, Lebanon also brought it to the attention of Egypt, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. It seems it is one thing for the US and France to cast a blind eye to Israel, as they blatantly have been with the number of ceasefire violations racking up, but bring in other Middle Eastern countries of influence in the region, who will not ignore the France and the US failing to uphold their duties here as well, it seems it’s worked. A shamed and widely embarrassed IDF withdrew from the area. Lebanon called in the authorities, made a complaint and unlike when Israel does it, they were very much not crying wolf, with the IDF retreat pretty much proving it.
Where Israel are very much getting their noses rubbed in it in Lebanon though, they’re celebrating a multimillion dollar windfall courtesy of ridiculously wealthy Zionists in the US, having now raised enough money to build a state of the art medical facility slap bang in the middle of the West Bank and to top it all off, no Palestinians are allowed, it’s for Jews only. AN Apartheid hospital being built there, whilst the last hospital in northern Gaza has been destroyed, quite the spectacular optics, but never let it be said the State of Israel has any shame, because quite clearly they don’t.
