Steve, I am 100 % MAGA. Blowing this argument up into something it is not is a good idea, long term. My son married to an immigrant had to wait two years and spend 15K to get her & my grandsons into the US, I have no sympathy for those who come here illegally. If immigration was stopped completely during that time & he was faced with the government saying sorry they can’t come in right now, what is that? On the other hand, as a retired small business owner, my only option to stay competitive & turn a profit was to do business with a person who was not of Latin origin but used Laten laborers. Specifically, drywall work. I don't know if they were here legally or not and didn't ask. I do know if I was to train my regular employees to do the same work at the same level, speed, and proficiency, I would have had to invest years of net profit. I would have had to hire someone from my subcontractor’s crew to do the training. With that I am not sure it would have worked out. Not because they were incompetent but rather because they would not be interested, & I would be hard pressed to find others that would be. I would have to offer exorbitant wages, which would be fiscal suicide. You attacking an American Citizen & telling him he can go back to his own country because you don’t like his position is no better than one of them criticizing the American worker. Like it or not he went through the citizenship process & is entitled to the same rights as every other American citizen, other than being president. In the time it takes to deport 15 million illegals we will have time to reasonably debate H-1B. I respect the work you do and what you have been through, and it is because of that respect I have not unfollowed you as I have many others who are blowing this out of proportion. We have a lot of work to do, and infighting does nothing but slow down the process. Develop the team spirit, teach the team, go to the next level. Infighting destroys the team, start over.

Labour in developing nations would not be low cost if the developing nations were developed like the US. US will 'undevelop' if the global looseness between nations continues. The question is..... Does the US have the resources and a big enough market in isolation to continue? Resolution cannot happen until an audit is conducted. A race to the bottom is occurring. Producing ever cheaper goods and services is unsustainable. It will cost the US more and there would be less choice to isolate, but, that can be the only outcome if being lost in a global order is to be avoided.
