As American engineer manager, we would hire H-1b visa people even though many times we had qualified American citizens applying for this jobs. Many were right of of school and we had to train them anyway. Many of these jobs were later transferred into India.

Who creates the statistics that there is a shortage of talent in the USA, and therefore need to import it? Organizations like Microsoft, who if you go onto their campuses today are 99.99% Indian. Where 15 yrs ago, there were a few Indians. Oh and do not look out on the streets, where many of those replaced ended up homeless. Many took other jobs, changed their profession. Yes it took years of for Companies like Microsoft etc to import all these Indians, who today, are Managers, and will only hire Indians. Its job discrimination 1000000 %. I dare anyone to find an American in any building that has IT people in it at Microsoft. Even the vendors: HCL, Accenture ... are 99.9% Indian.

The problem I have with it is when they REPLACE American workers. We loose our job because they come in at a lower wage. That’s wrong. If the job can’t be filled with American workers then sure let’s see about them adding to our country’s innovation.

We have plenty of people here that need jobs. Pay them well! Tons of people applied to these jobs and didn’t get in. Americans are the ones drowning here. Many spent money to go to college, picked a degree they were told would have a job, and nothing happens. Many jobs were sent to India. This happens a lot!
