"Look, there has always been a tug-of-war over this within the Republican Party, and I think there’s a way to resolve it. What many people would say, and what Elon Musk pointed out, is that if you’re bringing in the top 1% or 0.1% of the most talented engineers from other countries, that’s perfectly fine. H-1B visas for that. They have unique skills, unique talent, and innovative abilities. That’s fine. But if you’re abusing the H-1B program to hire, you know, interns, accountants, or others who could easily be hired in the United States just because you want to do it cheaper, that’s not okay."
