A Family Paying it Forward in Memory of their Son
At just 5 days old, Jackson Reese underwent open heart surgery at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. After spending almost two months in the cardiac ICU, Jackson came home and was thriving. In a moment, though, everything changed. One day shy of his second birthday in 2013, Jackson passed away. His family is now honoring his memory and helping to provide financial assistance to families and organizations with young children experiencing major medical challenges. Jackson's parents, Amy and Eric, join us to discuss their son, their organization -- JR Hearts -- and an upcoming fundraising event. Jackson's Jam Music Festival, benefiting JR Hearts, is taking place Saturday, August 4 at Okauchee Lions Park from 3pm to 11pm. There will be live music, food, kids activities and more! For more information, visit JRhearts.org.
