Poetic Metaphors: Nude Performance Art in Gallery

My first major performance art piece... presented at the Adam & Eve show in Miami at Art Basel, performed here for the second time at Satellite Art Show in Williamsburg, Brooklyn June 2024. I titled the piece “poetic metaphors,” words from some of the music I put together for it. The intention of this work is to normalize & desexualize the nude human body to help people create a healthier relationship with their own bodies and those of others/ strangers. I want us all to be able to look at naked people without always thinking about sex or porn or the unhealthy standards of beauty that oftentimes comes to mind when we see the nude human form. The first time this was performed in Miami there were many dancers including myself. This time there was just two of us. The dance itself reveals the evolution of humanity from creation of time until now, birth through death on a macro and micro level.
