"I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse."

Johnny talks to his godfather about how the producer of a movie has already turned him down for the role that he thinks he deserves. Don Corleone tells him that in a month the movie executive will give him what he wants. In response to Johnny's query as to how, Marlon Brando speaks this oft quoted line.

Later in the film, Michael Corleone, played by Al Pacino, also says the line. Variations of this line appear three times in the film, and in each of the sequels.
