To prevent him from stopping the airplane carrying Ilsa and Victor, Rick shoots and kills a Nazi officer. After directing his men to go round up the usual suspects and take the body away, Captain Renault and Rick decide to leave Casablanca and join the Free French movement, walking off into the fog together.
