The warning for today’s situation was right here with Kissinger. After the fall of the Soviet Union, Russia was really weak, yet you have Kissinger wanting to start the neocon press right away. Instead of reaching out to Russia and treat them as equals, we had the “we won” attitude and told them to stuff it. Russia was already upset that the countries in yellow were going to join NATO. Now look where NATO is. I almost wish we were still in the Cold War. At least then, we had some peer country that stopped us from romping all over the world unopposed.
