Ephesians - Chapter 4 Summary:

Ephesians chapter 4 focuses on the unity and maturity of believers in the body of Christ. Paul urges the church to live a life worthy of their calling, marked by humility, gentleness, patience, and love, and to strive to maintain unity through the Spirit in the bond of peace. He emphasizes that there is one body, one Spirit, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of all. Paul explains that Christ has given diverse gifts to His people, such as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, to equip the saints for ministry and build up the body of Christ. He calls believers to grow in maturity, avoiding being swayed by false teachings, and to speak the truth in love. Paul also exhorts them to put off their old sinful nature, be renewed in their minds, and put on the new self, created to be like God in righteousness and holiness, living in honesty, kindness, and forgiveness.
