Why would anyone need to be taught "to number our days" if we really understood how fleeting our life is? If this is all there is ... wouldn't we automatically do that? This is where Ecclesiastes 3:11 comes in - He has set eternity in our heart. Therefore temporality just does not automatically compute. Both do not reside in the same space ... naturally. We must be taught if we are to size up our reality in this current age correctly
