VILLAGE CHICKEN Indonesia! 🇮🇩 Ayam Kampung

Ayam Kampung, or 'Village chicken', is how free range chicken is called in Indonesia. The difference is, this is TRUE free range chicken. The taste is different. The texture is harder, there is more muscle, and it just feels like real chicken. In this Indonesian food vlog we were travelling South from Padang, towards the village of South Solok. It was a long and tiring trip, and we were glad we found this little Indonesian restaurant in the middle of the West Sumatra rainforest. The kind auntie served us what she had cooked for the day, some village chicken in Padang sauce, some stir fry of eggplants, tofu, tempe and green chillies, and some proper Ikan bakar.
