Padang street food is not only about Nasi Padang or Sate, there is plenty of Indonesian seafood wonders in this amazing cuisine! In this food vlog I tour some of the best seafood spots in Padang city, experiencing Indonesian cuisine in both street food stalls and small family restaurants. Here is a list of the place we visit:

Djoni/kun Grilled Fish: https://maps.app.goo.gl/7sjSaPawz4TaV... - this is a famous local spot for trying the famous grilled fish (ikan bakar) Padang-style. It was a marvellous freshwater fish in a thick, rich and coconutty paste, certainly on eof the highlights of my stay in Padang. I also suggest you try their Kangkung (water spinach) with crispy shallots, and thei cumi goreng (fried squid).

Ampera "Babe" Gulai Ikan Karang: https://maps.app.goo.gl/dpegkcu6dkVYn... - this place is up in the hills of Padang, may take one hour to reach but it's worth it! They are famous for their amazing coral fish head curry. I had half of it and it was a feast for the senses. The curry is lemony, citrusy, just irresistible.

Es Durian Ganti Nan Lamo: https://maps.app.goo.gl/aTd4oCRfJcovc... - this was just a stop to break the seafood tour and get some refreshing gelato. The start here is the Es Durian, the famous Padang Durian Ice Cream.

Sarang seafood: https://maps.app.goo.gl/so6z4VfDBbEFF... - I visited this spot in order to try the famous Padang sauce seafood boil. It was an interesting meal, with all sorts of crustaceans swimming in spicy Padang sauce.
