While this event in Syria was not nuclear, the Bible does provide several passages that some interpret as prophecies regarding nuclear warfare. In the context of end-times prophecy, the Book of Revelation, particularly, describes events that could be interpreted through a modern lens as nuclear attacks:

Revelation 8:7 speaks of "hail and fire mixed with blood, and they were thrown to the earth; and a third of the earth was burned up," which could be seen as an ancient description of a nuclear explosion's aftermath.
Revelation 16:8-9 describes the fourth bowl judgment where the sun scorches people with intense heat, which might symbolize the flash and heat of a nuclear blast.

Isaiah 17:1 prophesies the destruction of Damascus, traditionally interpreted as a significant military defeat, but some modern interpretations suggest it could symbolize a nuclear event due to the total nature of the devastation described.
