There needs to be serious reform in the academic institutions and a serious resetting of priorities. The education system is there to educate... period.

Make America and the world great again without 'growth' numerically. The concept of 'growth' cannot perpetuate. Less products (as in production runs, not variety), better quality, higher cost, higher pay, higher profit margins smaller markets. Confined and doable within the borders of the nation.

At first I thought the scheme wasn't a good thing,then it was read properly and pulled apart . It's to let 0.1% in to the US on visas and only qualified for specific jobs (engineering etc) they have to have at least a bachelor's degree,and it's for three years.In three years time,that could well be changed and no longer existent,at which stage those people would more than likely go home OR if they are outstanding at their jobs and in the community,can apply for PR leading to citizenship.Isn't that better than having millions of non well educated illegals who dont contribute to the community? Why do people pick holes in every little thing?Answer is....maybe they haven't read what's proposed,and just heard someone who's not been well informed,kicking and screaming about the scheme in an echo chamber! One should read the proposal first,then make a judgement on it.

Elon Musk made a terrible mistake regarding H1b visas and immigration. He underestimated the resolve of the American People regarding these issues as many American Citizens have lived through the loss of their jobs to visa holders. This has been going on for decades in addition to American jobs being shipped overseas! It has been devastating for the American worker! Elon and Vivek...you will not win on this issue, EVER!
