Choose your mountain wisely

I was watching this video, from @TheDiaryOfACEO and while there was lots of tidbits of good information to glean, what struck me as both a simple and yet powerful comment from @CodieSanchezCT was this idea that we each should choose our mountains wisely. Is the mountain we are climbing our mountain, or simply a mountain we are told we should be climbing? Does the top or other side of the mountain hold something for us that we truly want or need, or simply what others have told us we want or need?
