Weight Loss Tests They Don’t Want You To Know About

If your weight is stuck, do these 5 blood tests 🩸💉of course they don’t want you to know this because God forbid we do something to heal ourselves.

1️⃣ Active Thyroid: Low thyroid levels can slow down your metabolism, leading to fat storage. A Full thyroid panel can help determine if your thyroid is underactive (even if your doctor says it’s normal.) Remember you want a FULL thyroid panel with TSH, T3, T4, and TPO. You want to compare your levels to optimal and not conventional ranges.

2️⃣ Cortisol: High cortisol, the stress hormone, can increase hunger and cause your body to hold onto fat. Testing cortisol can reveal if stress is affecting your weight. A morning cortisol in the blood is a great start, but I prefer a 4 point salivary cortisol test to see if your cortisol response is optimal all day long.

3️⃣ Fasting Insulin: Measures insulin levels without food intake to understand how your body handles sugar. High fasting insulin can signal a need for a low-sugar diet.

4️⃣ DUTCH: Your hormones play a big role in weight maintenance. Hormone imbalances can affect your ability to lose weight. DUTCH looks at hormones and how those hormones are breaking down, both can affect your health.

5️⃣ GI MAP: Imbalances in gut health can hinder weight loss efforts, while a healthy gut can support sustainable weight management.
