When Prophets Really Do Disagree - A personal reflection on the GPA/ACPE controversy

As a previous member of GPA (Glasgow Prophetic Alliance) and having attended both Year 1 and 2 of the emerging prophets training programme, this is my reflection on the condemnation of the prophetic words given by the GPA by the ACPE (Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders), nominally the body that oversees the Hamonite prophetic movement of which the GPA acknowledges its lineage and the principal minister was once a recognised member.

The GPA leader who caused the controversy was in good standing it seems until around 18 months ago, since which there has, it is alleged in the ACPE content, been an exchange attempting to mitigate the controversy surrounding previous words that specifically concern the US. There have, it is alleged, been calls and discussions involving the ACPE with the GPA expressing concerns over the content and tone of some of these words. However, on this occasion, a public condemnation as 'false' of prophecies given by the GPA on the eve of the American election concerning Trump and the collapse of American democracy, led to a public response by the GPA to the ACPE and a counter-response by the ACPE which they considered 'final'.

The most concise summary of the controversy from the point of view of the ACPE is found in Jennifer LeClaire's video: https://youtu.be/0kz54URzuRM where she also refers to claim and counterclaim. Cindy Jacobs did a quick Q&A on the fallout from the initial confrontation, which is very useful to establish some basic facts about what happened: https://fb.watch/wJcD3o4Aem/
GPAs response is found in written form at https://www.propheticscots.com/response-to-acpe/ and the in video form at https://youtu.be/JyI4iNQ1S3w.

As you will be able to tell, assertions made in the GPA written response do not seem to correlate well with the facts and sequence of events as presented by the ACPE. In light of this disturbing failure to be able to agree on the basic facts, I chose to concentrate on the more positive message of the enormous quality of the team that Trump is assembling as a sign that the US is being reborn in line with prophecies issued by other recognised prophets. Thus, whilst I provide my discussion and view of this controversy in Part 1 (00:00:00 - 00:40:00), in Part 2 (00:00:40 - 01:23:21) I discuss what I believe to be the prophetic significance of the Trump election and the exceptional calibre of the Trump team as representing a rebirth of the American nation.

In other words, I reject the GPA prophetic words as fundamentally dissonant to what should be seen as divine providence for the US and by implication for other nations around the world, a response to the international prayer and support of believers around the world concerned to arrest the decline and chaos of the last four years in the US, characterised by wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, threats to Taiwain, a breakdown of national sovereignty with mass illegal immigration, mass drug smuggling by cartels, traffiking of minors, the emboldening of Islamic terror and a breakdown of respect for the West and its democratic and republican models of governance around the world.

I have collected some additional links together in a blog post at: https://planetmacneil.org/blog/when-prophets-really-do-disagree/
