Abraham stays in Gerar. Apparently gathering women for the Kings harem was a common practice and Abraham was once again prepared and he's going to give the same story.

Now you know where the expression came from, you're a dead man, it came from Genesis 20 verse 3. Elohim states that Abimelech is in rebellion against him, and he will pay for that.

Okay now Elohim agrees that Abimelech did not intentionally abduct a married woman, he thought he only abducted a single woman, therefore Elohim prevented him from sinning against him. This is the first use of the word prophet in Scripture here in in Genesis 20, and it's the heat the Hebrew word Nabi, and it means to proclaim and speak as an intermediary, that's the term Prophet. If this is the case that would help explain the prophesying that is spoken of in the Brit Hadashah.

When it says it prophesized, what's he speaking as now? An intermediary between who? Between Elohim and the people. How can you speak as an intermediary between Elohim and His people? Just speak the word of Elohim. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy, lo and behold, that's prophesying.

Keep in mind something else, when someone asks you to pray for them what are they saying to you, what are they calling you? They're calling you a prophet, think about that. People, I think, throw that term around a lot, oh, pray for me, everyone pray for me, you know that's something we need to take a little more serious. If you're obedient to His word, He'll listen to your prayers, and if you're speaking on behalf of someone else to the Father, what are you doing? You're prophesying, that's what you're doing, keep that in mind, when you tell someone the word of the Father, of the Torah, you’re prophesying, that's what you're doing. If you pray for somebody, you're being a prophet, look what he said about Abraham, restore this man's wife, for he is a prophet, and what? he will pray for you, and by the way, I'm not listening to you, but I'll listen to him, same thing in Job, at the end of Job, by the way guys, you better talk to Job, and have him pray for you, to his three friends, or four friends or one dropped out, that means Job is a prophet, He's going to listen to Job. If your prayers are being heard by the Father and someone asks you to pray for them, you are prophesying, very serious business. You can pray for whoever you want, I'm not saying you can't pray for anybody if they don't ask you to, I'm saying if someone asks you to pray for them, they need to understand they're calling you a prophet and they're asking you to prophesy I on their behalf to the Father. It is serious business is my point. Abimelech is told that if Abraham will pray for him he'll live and don't underestimate, James speaks of this, what do you say about the prayers of a righteous man?

James 5:16
Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. That's because Elohim will hear his prayers okay, He doesn't hear just anybody's prayers, if someone is not righteous and not obedient to His Torah He doesn't hear their prayers, that's solid in Scripture, we should be careful. Should we be careful who prays for us? I've heard a lot of Christians say, I'll pray for you and I've heard people said don't, that's okay, that's all right, they mean well but it's flippant, they don't understand, but in the same way, what they're doing though, this thing, I'll pray for you, or pray for me, it's treated like the end of a prayer, in Jesus name, we pray amen okay. There now, it's sealed and good, that's the stamp on the envelope, that make sure it gets there right? In Jesus name, amen. Hezekiah prayed for a longer life and Elohim he was a righteous man too, but Elohim told him, you're going to die. You know why James said this? He said it merely because he's summarizing what it says in the Tanakh,
