Man Runs Through Hospital’s Glass Gate To Escape Cops

On March 27th, 2023, officers responded to a report of a car crash. Upon arriving at the scene, they found no trace of the driver in the vehicle. However, he was later discovered walking down the street, approximately 100 feet from the crash site. The driver had knocked over several streetlights with his car. The man told the officers that he was a little disoriented and was heading to the hospital. However, the police found crushed amphetamine pills and drug paraphernalia in his car, as well as fake Louisiana ID cards. The man was taken to the hospital for a checkup. He suddenly became agitated and began refusing to be checked. He was taken to jail, but due to an elevated heartbeat and blood pressure, he was taken to the hospital again, where he did the unthinkable. One of the staff members asked the officer to remove the handcuffs so she could check the man’s vitals, but as soon as the officer did, the suspect ran off a few minutes later. The man sustained several lacerations after running through the glass. The man was charged with hit and run, possession of fake ID cards, Criminal Mischief 1000 Dollars or more, attempted escape from custody and possession of drugs.
