What's the terror of the blank page? It's the panic authors feel when they stare at a blank computer screen. How can you avoid it?

Don't look at a blank page!! Instead, write the old fashioned way with pen and paper--or the new fashioned way with an app on your phone. Brainstorm away from your computer, make notes, then once you have a critical mass of notes, type them into your manuscript file.

If you are suffering from the terror of the blank page, try these tips:
* Get away from your desk! Go for a walk outside. Walking is meditative and it will get your creativity going and ideas flowing!
* Do something mindless like fold laundry or vacuum. Even if you don't get instant ideas, your home will be cleaner!
* Take a shower. It's no secret people get great ideas in the shower! Wash the cobwebs out of your brain to make room for new ideas to burst out!
