Kirkland 'lost it' before killing teen girl

In an eight-hour interview following his 2009 arrest, serial killer Anthony Kirkland claimed 13-year-old Esme Kinney reminded him of his son's mother — and he vented his aggression toward that woman by raping, killing and burning Esme. Jurors will soon decide if Kirkland deserves the death penalty for Esme's gruesome murder as well as three others he committed in the same fashion three years earlier.
