ICYMI: The Patriarch of the Orthodox Church in Damascus Gives Sermon w/ Syrian Christian History Background

The Patriarch of the Orthodox Church in Damascus recently gave a sermon discussing the history of Christianity in Syria and the roots of the Church in that area of the world.

"We Syrian Christians are the original people of Syria and we will stay here in our ancient homeland", said the Patriarch.

The speech was given in Western Syriac, a dialect of old Aramaic which was the language of Jesus the Christ, and the original language of Syria.
