Why You Should Place Your Value In Consistency?

When we put all our value on the number on the scale, the reflection in the mirror, hitting a random deadline We often cut corners and do anything possible to reach that goal.

Once we reach that goal we've achieved what we set out to do.

So many of us revert back to our previous state since we attained the thing we valued most.

That can look like completing a weight loss challenge with a defined set of days, and then binging for 2 weeks afterwards finding yourself right back where you started.

It's the same problem as scouring the internet for the right diet, the right exercise program, the perfect gym.... When you've known what to do for 20 years, you just can't get yourself to do it.

Place your value in consistency.

Instead of counting pounds lost every week, count how many days you didn't cheat your diet or showed up to the gym.

You have no control over what the scale says, but you do have control over what you put in your mouth and the time you allocate.

This is called perspective shift.

Once you can shift your perspective, replacing your habits is next, then you are well on your way to creating a new identity.

When you have achieved the identity of the person who eats healthy and goes to the gym, then you don't have to worry about sabotaging yourself or breaking promises.

Just show up💪
