Mom always had Caramel Corn as a part of our Family Christmas Gathering. Absolutely delicious any time of year. BAKED CARAMEL CORN
1 cup margarine or butter
2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup light Karo
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
6 qts popped popcorn
Melt margarine in a sauce pan
Add brown sugar, Karo and salt
Stir constantly until it comes to a boil
Boil for 5 minutes - do not stir during these 5 minutes
Remove from heat and add vanilla and soda.
Whisk together well - (it'll change color)
Pour over the popped popcorn and mix well
Put in baking dishes (don't have the popcorn too thick on each other)
Bake on 250 for one hour - stirring every 15 minutes while baking
Pour into a large container (stainless steel bowl is great)
Stir often while it cools so the popcorn doesn't stick together in one big glob.
After it's cooled, store the caramel corn in sealed containers or bags.

THE GOLDEN THOUGHT OF INSPIRATION
Glory to God in the Highest, and on earth peace, good-will toward men. Thank you, God, for the plan of salvation
