In this Berean Bible study we look at the events that occurred in Bethlehem over the course of hundreds of years in Old Testament scriptures. We review the Bible prophecy regarding the small town in the land allotment for the Tribe of Judah, and why Yehovah focused on the concept of sheep and shepherds throughout scripture. (Psalms 23)

The faith of believers is under constant attack today and knowing what the Bible says about the first arrival of the Messiah, will help them defend against those attacks and bolster their faith.

The shepherds in the fields of Bethlehem were likely from the Tribe of Levi and knew all the details about the soon coming Anointed One of Yehovah. They would have known about the prophecy in Micah 5, regarding Bethlehem and the Tower of the Flock. They would know exactly where to look for the baby, wrapped in swaddling clothes waiting for His priestly inspection at Migdal Eder.

Yehovah’s prophecies and timing are exact and on Yom Teruah 3bc, the promised King of the Hebrews arrived! Thirty three years later that same spotless lamb, born in lowly Bethlehem and presented for inspection in the manger, would die on a tree as the sinless lamb of Pesach.

Trust in Yehovah with all of your heart and do not trust in your own abilities. Cry out to Yeshua and accept His free gift of redemption for your life and be filled with the Holy Spirit of Yehovah. Trust in the Plan that will never fail!
