Chicken Deep Fried in SHRIMP Paste!! 🇲🇾 Belacan in Penang, Malaysia

While exploring Penang street food I ended up in Kimberley street, a famous pilgrimage place in George Town for every foodie who happen to travel in the Malaysian Island. One of the things that catched my eyes is the so called Belacan Fried Chicken, that is, chicken deep fried in shrimp paste.
This was the first time I had heard about it and it seemed so crazy to me!
The name of the stall is "kimberley street belacan fried chicken" (google maps link below) and it's famous in George Town among locals for this peculiar Malaysian delicacy.
The kind vendor packaged a bunch of belacan chicken pieces, tofu and chicken heart, for me to enjoy in one of the nearby food courts; all of this in the unique atmosphere of George Town.
