Like many of you reading this, I'm extremely familiar with the accounts of Jesus birth in both Matthew 1, and Luke 2. So much so, I've memorized at least the 1st 14 verses in Luke, and I feel like I could probably recite parts of these accounts if not all of them by heart. But that shouldn't matter. What matters is knowing, learning, and understanding just what these verses mean in this matter. What we see in this precious passage of scripture from this morning, is the good news being shared of Christ's birth, and that's what makes His birth so special. What really astounds me, as well as fascinates me in this moment, is just who God chose to announce the birth of His son, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords to. Shepherds. Not just any shepherds. Temple shepherds! Shepherds in that day weren't considered very high on the totem pole, as a matter of fact, Shepherds in this day were considered despised. They were considered in the same realm as thieves, tax collectors, etc. And would not even be considered as witnesses in a court trial! They were by all the standards of that day, uneducated, unlearned, unclean, and yet God chose to tell them!

Tonight, my friends, I wanted to do something extra special, and share with you the Christmas story through this blog I'd like to share with all of you tonight, but I want to do it in a unique way. I want to share this fictional story that I created, thanks to my dad, who taught us about the Christmas angel. It’s the story of an Angel named Nicholas, who was chosen by God to deliver this news to the shepherds, and I pray that it encourages you to want to share the good news of the birth of the savior with others. As I close this post for tonight, I pray that every believer in Christ out there boldly, lovingly, and without fear shares the birth of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords with everyone that they can.
