What you are about to witness in this video is one man overcoming a decades old fear of heights. Brent mentioned that his fear of heights seemed to increase around 20 years ago. He recalls his father mentioning that he too had this fear just seem to appear. Both father and son, at one point in their lives, did not experience these fear and anxiety, as both of them would climb tall ladders for trimming trees in the yard. Brent also mentioned he use to have no concerns climbing around on the roof of his house in the middle of the Canadian winter removing snow and ice from gutters. This all changes for him, as it had for his father. Elsa and Brent had planned a day trip to the waterslides, and once there, they both observed many visitors blasting down the 60 foot high” drop of doom” slide. After some time, Elsa asked Brent “ are you going to go down?” She knows of his fears, but also knows he likes to take challenges head on and conquer them. Brent finally said to her ” ok, lets do this” and he walked over and starting his way up the stairway. He did mention” my heart sure was pounding while going up there, and it sure looked high”. The rest is history and he is glad he took this head on and got through it.
Birch Bay Waterslides is a small waterpark in Birch Bay, Washington. Birch Bay is approximately 100 miles north of Seattle Washington and 35 miles south of Vancouver British Columbia Canada on the west coast along the Pacific Ocean. The waterslides is a family owned business that has been actively enjoyed for 35 years. The waterslides business is a valuable, well-respected company that is loved not only by the Blaine community, but also by the greater Pacific Northwest Region and B.C. area. With eight fun, fast slides, a good time is always in store when you visit the park. Along with the eight slides, customers also enjoy the kiddie pool, activity pool, hot tub, gift shop, and concession services. There is a large amount of space to enjoy the day. If you would like to secure a picnic table or one of the few covered table sections, get there early . Elsa mentioned Brent and her arrived around noon and although did not get a covered picnic table, there was still plenty of room to lay out their beach blankets and set up their picnic basket to enjoy the afternoon.
