Afternoon storms knock out power to thousands in Washtenaw and Wayne counties

A line of storms that moved through metro Detroit has knocked out power to thousands of people in parts of Washtenaw and Wayne counties. DTE says 30,000 customers are affected by the outages, with western Wayne County being hardest hit. The rest of the outages are spread out across the area.
