שמע ישראל Shema Israel, The Lord is our God, The Lord is One

The inspirational "Shema Israel" commandment from the Old Testament is quoted by Jesus when he is asked which is the greatest commandment. This clip shows views of the Sea of Galilee where Jesus gathered his disciples from the hiking trails on the historic Mount Arbel.

“‘Hear, Israel! The Lord is our God. The Lord is One; You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the great and foremost commandment, and the second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ Upon these two commandments hang the whole Law and the Prophets. There is no other commandment greater than these.” (Matthew 22:37-40 and Mark 12:28-31)
