Merry Christmas! Trump to Defy, Defund and Depart the WHO

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.

President-elect Donald Trump just gave America a Christmas present. In a video statement issued by the transition team yesterday, he denounced the World Health Organization as a “corrupt globalist scam” substantially bankrolled by the United States, but “controlled by China” and an “utter failure on COVID.”

In the face of ongoing efforts by the WHO to crush our sovereignty and liberties – including by censoring our free speech, Mr. Trump affirmed his determination to terminate U.S. membership in the organization.

He also pledged to work to create a new voluntary arrangement whereby nations could collaborate on public health matters without surrendering their sovereign authority over emergencies.

Our Sovereignty Coalition has been making the case for such actions for nearly two years. We commend the incoming President for defying, defunding and departing the WHO and encourage other nations to follow his lead.
