ETSU mens basketball must improve their non-conference scheduling! December 24, 2024

Outside of perhaps a road game at Wichita State the Buccaneers' non-conference schedule this year left much to be desired. Spare us old saws about how tough scheduling is. If the best a Division I program from Johnson City, Tennessee can do is play at Kansas City against the Roos while the Chiefs are playing a huge game against the Houston Texans at Arrowhead Stadium then you've got to do better! Why can't ETSU get big name opponents to come to Johnson City anymore? The residual effect of playing at a 6,800-seat arena on a high school campus rather than a 12,000 seat arena on your own?
