Onion fritters, or "Pyaj ka pakoda," are a popular Pakistane snack made by thinly slicing onions and mixing them with spices and chickpea flour (besan). The mixture is seasoned with ingredients like cumin, turmeric, chili powder, and sometimes, coriander or garam masala. These spiced onions are then deep-fried until crispy and golden brown. The fritters are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, offering a delicious combination of flavors. Typically served with chutney or sauce, they are enjoyed as a tea-time snack or appetizer.
