Vicious: Dakota Fanning, Bryan Bertino horror film removed from Paramount release schedule

Paramount Pictures has pulled the Dakota Fanning and Bryan Bertino horror film Vicious from its release schedule. Initially slated for August 2025, the release date was moved up to February 28, 2025, before being removed entirely. The studio is reportedly seeking a better release date.

Scripted by Bertino (The Strangers), Vicious follows a young woman (Fanning) who receives a sinister gift from a late-night visitor, plunging her into a chilling fight for survival. The cast also includes Devyn Nekoda, Mary McCormack, Rachel Blanchard, Kathryn Hunter, Klea Scott, and Emily Mitchell.

Produced by Atlas Independent, the film is helmed by Bertino, known for The Strangers and The Dark and the Wicked. Fans are now left wondering when this highly anticipated horror film will finally debut, as both Vicious and upcoming The Strangers sequels remain in limbo.
