Session 14: The Bible, The Four Senses of Scripture & The Covenant

In this session we take a brief historical look at the bible. We look at why some books made it into the bible and others didn't and how the Catholic Church had the authority to give us the bible in it's final form. How the Protestant movement in the 16th century moved away from that bible, thereby having 7 less books as well as other deductions. We took a quick look at how the Bible is the infallible written Word of God, but not the only avenue in which we get the Word of God. We explore the 4 senses of Scripture (CCC 115-119). We ended the class by starting our discussion on The New Covenant.
