December 2024 President's Message - Reflecting on 2024: Wins, Challenges, and the Road Ahead

We have ended a year that has been filled with many wins and some challenges for STN. We just had the opportunity at our November monthly meeting to celebrate some of those accomplishments and those wins.

In working with not only the leadership and members of STN, but also those that I have with other organizations’ leadership, those in the political world, as well as business and pastoral leaders that I have had the opportunity to interact with this last year, I always keep in mind the words of a great American philosopher, John Locke, when he said: “I have always thought the actions of men the best interpreters of their thoughts.” The proverbial actions speak louder than words.

STN has been truly blessed with individuals who not only demonstrate in their words where they stand and what they appear willing to do but also through their actions as well. One of our leaders who exemplifies this trait was honored at our annual meeting this past month with STN’s Distinguished Service Award. This year, that award went to STN’s State Legislative Chairman and Treasurer of STN, Scott Emmert.

Yes, we have a lot to celebrate. Particularly the seismic shift that just occurred during our 2024 election cycle, a new administration, a new perspective for our Republic, and a new awakening, if you will.

We also have to celebrate the true meaning of this wonderful Christmas season: the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We, as STN members and professors of the truth, need to continue spreading the salt and light. But what does that mean? In the simplest terms, it means educating others. That is why STN’s third core value is education. You see, education is necessary in order to support our other two core values: our Biblical Foundation and our Constitutional Framework. Education is the key to successfully being salt and light to others living in darkness, or perhaps a better phrase would be living in ignorance.

So yes, we have a lot to celebrate, but please remember, the fight is just beginning. We mustn’t become complacent in thinking that all is well. We have accomplished a lot, that is true, but now is the time for us to hone our skills and dig in for what is to come. The name-calling and labeling will be in full swing. That may be all that the opposition has to use. As we all know, evil uses a small truth and builds lies around it. So be ready for that technique. It is our mission to spread the truth and correct the mistruths.

Our mission is expanding as well. We need to educate those in darkness about the children caught in the snare of sex trafficking—the 500,000 undocumented children who are now unaccounted for after crossing our southern border illegally. So, STN’s Human/Sex Trafficking Committee must emerge this year. If you have an interest in this topic, please pray for guidance in your involvement in this committee. We also plan to inform the community through our School Board Committee about the actions and events occurring in the school district. Once again, if you are concerned about our educational system, I would ask that you pray for guidance regarding your involvement in this important committee as well.

Let’s all celebrate and enjoy. Let’s gather together and have a joyful celebration. Refresh and rejuvenate this month, but get ready to engage in the events and battles ahead. We must work toward exposing the truth. We must engage others to passionately work toward resolving and ultimately using these truths and the opportunities that we have to educate others and spread the light.

Thank you all for being a part of the team of light-spreaders, using your knowledge and information to educate and inform others.

Have a Blessed Christmas and a healthy and happy New Year!
Dr. Pfeiffer
