Pheasants can seem bulletproof at times, this is when a good dog can really make a difference. Sage has many long retrieves, ones where a bird likely never would have been retrieved otherwise. Typically all birds in this area are wild as this one was, but a PF youth event a couple weeks earlier left some pen raised birds in the area.
