38 Dead in Brazil Bus-Truck Crash: Minas Gerais Highway Accident

A tragic accident occurred early Saturday on a highway in Minas Gerais, Brazil, when a passenger bus collided with a truck, resulting in the deaths of 38 people. The bus, which departed from Sao Paulo and was carrying 45 passengers, blew a tire, causing the driver to lose control and crash into the truck. A car with three passengers also collided with the bus but all occupants survived. Thirteen people were injured and taken to hospitals near Teofilo Otoni. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
