Christian DESTROYS Muslim Argument on Jesus Being GOD or NOT | Sam Shamoun

The argument that Jesus never claimed to be God because He didn't use those exact words is fundamentally flawed and myopic. It's a demand for exactitude that even the Quran doesn't meet regarding Jesus' titles as Messiah, Word of Allah, or Spirit from Him. If such explicit declarations were necessary, then by the same token, the Quran would be discredited for not having Jesus claim these titles in His own words.

However, the Bible does not just hint at Jesus' divinity; it proclaims it through His actions, the testimony of others, and His acceptance of worship. Here are some verses that beautifully illustrate this:

Hebrews 1:8 - "But about the Son he says, 'Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.'" - Here, God the Father explicitly calls Jesus "God," affirming His eternal reign and divine nature

John 20:28 - "Thomas said to him, 'My Lord and my God!'" - Thomas's confession is one of the clearest affirmations of Jesus' divinity in the New Testament. Jesus does not correct Thomas but blesses his faith, thereby endorsing the confession of His deity.

Philippians 2:9-11 - "Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." - This passage underscores the exaltation of Jesus to a divine status, where all will acknowledge Him as Lord, a title synonymous with deity in this context.

Jesus didn't need to shout "I am God" to prove His divinity. His life, miracles, teachings, and resurrection all scream His divine identity. His acceptance of worship, which is due only to God, further cements His status. The Bible is replete with instances where Jesus is identified as God in ways that are profound and undeniable to anyone willing to look beyond the surface for the truth.
