Canada PM Justin Trudeau Gets No-Confidence Motion Threat From Former Key Ally Jagmeet Singh

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's government is facing the risk of collapse. Trudeau's former key ally Jagmeet Singh said he would present a no-confidence motion in the parliament. The New Democratic Party (NDP) leader says he will vote to topple the government. In an open letter, Singh said the Liberals don’t deserve another chance and that the NDP will give Canadians a chance to vote for a government that works for them. He said he would present the motion at the next parliament session, which starts on January 27. Trudeau’s liberal party does not have a majority in the House. If opposition parties back the NDP’s motion, Trudeau will be forced to resign. The fall of the government would force Canada to hold elections early next year.
