Fairfax Swim Club sinks, will close Labor Day

The Fairfax Swim Club, a private community pool that operated across the street from Ziegler Park for 55 years, will dry up for good Sept. 3 unless someone throws it a line, according to a news release from the Fairfax Civic Association. “I don’t even know how to explain what this means to me," 19-year-old life guard Hanna Tenhunfeld said. "The thought of it even closing just makes me want to cry."
