The Sun is God - the Life of J.M.W. Turner

A 1974 Dramatised documentary about William Turner. Directed by Michael Darlow, written by Ann Blaber and Michael Darlow, narrated by Roger Chinery.

The film tells the story of the painter's life, intercut with many of his paintings. Starring Leo McKern as Turner, Nicholas Jones as John Ruskin, Frederick Radley as Turner's father, and Hazel Hughes as Turner's mother.
