Bob H. Interview on The Sober Wise Guy Podcast. 51 Years Sober!

Bob H., a Friend of Bill W., shares his ESH (Experience Strength Hope) in this interview with us. He discusses his idea of the power of NOW, or ODAAT (One Day At A Time), as a vital key to sustained sobriety and daily living. He ran marathons, but his recovery has been a marathon of sorts, too!

Like several of my past Guests with long-term sobriety, this fellow sobered up when I was on the front end of what we lovingly call 'a (my) drinking career.' His DOS (Date Of Sobriety) is 8/4/73. His lovely wife, a Friend of Lois W., joined in a little bit during the interview. I've sat in on 12-Step meetings with both of these wonderful people.

Part of the reason I do these interviews is to create an online Voice for Old Timers in recovery who, of course, 'ain't gonna live forever.' One fine day, people will want to hear their Voices again because they left Earth School to hang out with God. Also, someone may be inspired along the way to quit drinking if they need to.

Bob sobered up after getting a DWI and having a 'Fender Bender' wherein, thank God, no one was killed.
