Moderna has suspended its mRNA vaccine trial for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in children after five infants were hospitalized with severe respiratory complications.
This decision comes just days after the FDA halted enrollment in similar trials due to safety concerns for children under two years old. The study, identified as mRNA-1365-P101, revealed a disproportionate risk of severe infections among vaccinated infants compared to the placebo group.
