Russia Hits Kyiv With Ballistic Missiles; Ukraine Suffers "Largest Cyberattack"

A Russian missile strike rocked Kyiv early Friday, with air defences responding to a missile attack. At least one person was reported killed in the attack. Witnesses reported loud blasts and smoke, while debris caused fires in the Holosiivskyi district, damaging cars. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed a “missile duel” with the U.S. to showcase Russia’s new hypersonic missile, drawing a sharp response from Ukraine’s Zelenskyy, who questioned Putin’s sanity. Putin also admitted uncertainty about regaining control of Ukraine’s Kursk region, where fighting continues. Ukrainian authorities also said its state registries were hacked in one of the largest cyberattacks" in the country in recent times. Ukraine's Deputy PM has accused Russia of carrying out the attack.
