Government Shutdown Looms After Republicans Reject 2nd CR

House Republicans rejected Speaker Johnson’s second attempt at a continuing resolution to keep the federal government open last night. The deficit hawks came out in force and rejected another CR that makes no efforts to curtail the spending in DC.
