Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi Booked For Scuffle Outside Parliament As BJP MPs Suffer Head Injuries

Congress party's Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha -- the lower house of the Indian parliament -- was booked by the Delhi Police based on Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) complaint in regard to the Parliament scuffle on December 19. The First Information Report alleged that he violated the security personnel's instructions to use the designated route for entry into the building and incited other Opposition lawmakers to disrupt the BJP's protest with force and aggression, "endangering their safety." The complaint against the Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition was filed by BJP MP Hemang Joshi after two party MPs – Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput – were allegedly injured in the alleged scuffle. The BJP alleged that Rahul Gandhi pushed them, leading to their head injuries.
